Looking Upward
We all know this word. It’s a big word, a challenging word, a word that at times overwhelms many of us.
Adversity finds us during various seasons of our life. First, there is the season of spring – when things are growing, and a freshness exists in our life and relationships. Second is summer – when we are at our prime and enjoying life to its fullest. Third is fall – when we are preparing for the next phase of our life, planting for the future. Things may appear to slow down a bit, and we may not be as focused. Fourth is winter – when things seem stale, maybe even a period of non-growth for some of us, when abandonment may come to mind.
