College Scholarships
Currently there are three endowments available for scholarships for graduating high school seniors who are members of First Baptist Church Peachtree City or are active in the student ministry of First Baptist Church Peachtree City. The number of scholarships awarded and the recipients of these scholarships each year will be determined by a committee made up of the current student pastor and adult church members selected by the student pastor, who have significant knowledge of the specific graduating class. Their analysis will be based on any applications submitted by the graduating senior as well as personal knowledge and insight as to the character and actions observed during the student’s time in the ministry. In addition, the Redmond Scholarship will have a vote by the fellow students within the ministry that will count as a portion of the decision made. Scholarships will be awarded during the graduation Sunday service held each May.
Eligibility requirements for scholarships:
A student must be graduating high school (in good standing) and have been accepted to a college or technical school (at the time of application) to begin during the fall of the graduating year. The scholarship will be paid directly to the school for the fall semester. Student must be a member of First Baptist Church Peachtree City or be active in the student ministry of First Baptist Church Peachtree City. Student must fill out the application found on the church website student page. Other scholarship eligibility requirements are noted on the specific application.
